I was given responsibility for improving the operational flow of a building-materials business. Orders, deliveries, customer accounts, payments, and other processes were fragmented and inefficient.
I started by understanding the workflows and identifying the bottlenecks, rather than looking for an off-the-shelf software solution.
I built Tolla to solve those problems and deployed it in the business. It has now been running for more than six months and has handled hundreds of real orders.
Through using it ourselves, I realized that the problem extends beyond our business. Many wholesalers, distributors, and small manufacturers still rely on paper, spreadsheets, messaging apps, and disconnected tools to manage their operations.
That led me to turn Tolla from an internal operational system into a standalone product.
